Recipe #16: Black Pepper Mussels (p. 182 & 183)

I have to admit that I had never tried making mussels before today and now wish that I would have.  I have been missing out.  They were absolutely so delicious.    

They are so quick and easy to make, and I even sprinkled several different toppings on each one, just so I could try them with different avenues of flavor.  After boiling them, I made sure they were all opened, before adding the different flavors, and then used cayenne pepper on some, just black pepper on others, and then lemon juice and Lowry’s seasoning on others.  

 Each one was so delightful, and I am genuinely looking forward to the next time I can make them again.  Because of their size, it was also so easy to eat each and every one of them, as they sat so pretty in the bowl.
