I wanted some small treats that I could eat between meals so chose to make some Palmiers.  Palmiers are French pastries that are made from a puff pastry and sugar and cinnamon, but light enough to not fill you up.  These are cut into butterfly shapes so are also very eye catching as well as tasty. 

I used store bought puff pastry, which makes them easier to make and not so time-consuming.  You will see how they become caramelized as you bake them and are such a pleasing small treat that I enjoyed very much with a cup of tea.
